The 'photo poster project' has been conducted by cizucu across various locations since the end of last year. By simply submitting photos to cizucu, you can participate in the photo poster exhibition and meet fellow photographers you haven't met yet.

This time, we spoke with the creator bozino, who participated in the photo poster project.

Please Introduce Yourself!

Nice to meet you, I'm bozino. I capture everyday moments and those that move my heart using film cameras and smartphones. I'm interested in anything that piques my curiosity, such as photography, collage, books, zines, art, and interior design, and I enjoy them freely.

Walking, traveling, talking with people, and eating are my sources of energy. Thank you for your time.

What Inspired You to Participate?

Actually, participating this time was an unexpected stroke of luck for me. When I visited a pop-up shop that a friend was helping with, I was told, 'Do you take photos with a film camera? If you love photography, there should be an exhibition coming up soon.'

While talking to a creator using cizucu whom I met by chance, I impulsively declared, 'I'll exhibit!' Later, I reconsidered and thought, 'Maybe I should quit,' but I decided it was a good opportunity and boldly chose to participate.

How Was the Experience of Participating?

Seeing my photos printed in A2 size for the first time, I was amazed by their clarity, which exceeded my expectations. Moreover, the poster exhibition not only exposed my work to the public but also gave me the opportunity to articulate my thoughts, making it a valuable experience.

The ease of participation without negotiations or procedures allowed me to enjoy the experience as a first-timer. Overall, I realized the excitement of exhibiting photos in real spaces.

Why Did You Choose That Particular Photo?

When I heard the theme was 'photos that tell a story,' I initially considered photos of works by my favorite artists or landscapes from my travels, but I couldn't find the perfect fit within the constraint of vertical photos, so I ended up choosing this one.

It's a simple photo of laundry hanging. I remember feeling a sudden sense of beauty when hanging red tights and hurriedly grabbing my film camera to capture the moment. After developing the film, I was delighted to have captured the beauty hidden in a mundane moment and space.

For Those Hesitant to Join the Photo Poster Project

For those who take photos as a hobby, having them viewed by others or displayed as posters might seem daunting. However, if you have the desire to 'try it out' or 'see your photos printed large,' I encourage you to participate casually.

You can leave everything from choosing the exhibition location to setting up and taking down the display on the day to the organizers, so there wasn't anything particularly challenging for me as a first-timer (though I think those tasks can be enjoyable too). There's much to learn from other exhibitors on the day. If you're hesitating, it's worth giving it a try!
