photo poster project | Connecting with Others Just Because You Love Photography by 月うさぎ | Runa | ISSUE #47

The 'photo poster project' has been held by cizucu across various locations since the end of last year. By simply submitting photos to cizucu, you can participate in the photo poster exhibition and meet new photographer friends.
This time, we talked to 月うさぎ | Runa, a creator who participated in the photo poster project.

Please Introduce Yourself!
I use a FUJIFILM X-T4 and often take photos of landscapes.
Even in everyday life, there are many scenes that can only be seen at that moment. The same path can look completely different depending on my mood at the time, so I take photos cherishing the scenery I see at that moment.
What Inspired You to Participate?
I was very attracted to the idea that you could connect with various people just because you love photography, regardless of follower count or skill level.
I've participated in other photo exhibitions a few times, but the opportunity to talk about my photos and hear about others' photos was something new that wasn't present in other exhibitions, which I found refreshing when reading the ppp report.
Reading reports from other venues, everyone seemed to be having a great time, and I strongly felt that I wanted to participate and have fun interacting with others!
How Was Your Experience Participating?
First, I was moved by seeing my photos as works of art in A2 size.
I often lose confidence in my photos when comparing myself to others. When I participated in ppp, it was exactly during such a period, but seeing my work at the venue for the first time made me feel moved and boosted my confidence.
Additionally, I enjoyed exchanging business cards with other exhibitors besides the poster exhibition. I exchanged cards with people I had interacted with before and made new friends, feeling the circle of connections expanding, which warmed my heart.

Why Did You Choose That Particular Photo?
Until now, I had never interacted with anyone through photography and took landscape photos alone. However, on this day, I decided to go shooting with friends I met on social media, and it was the first time I experienced 'photographing someone'.
Having someone in the landscape creates a story in the photo. I realized there were scenes I could never capture alone.
This particular photo was not posed; I was watching from afar as a friend holding a watermelon was being photographed by another friend, and it felt like watching a scene from a movie, so I instinctively pressed the shutter.
Since that day, I've connected with people through photography, stories have emerged in the photos, and my relationships with those people continue, leading to new encounters. It was a day where I felt the miraculous, mysterious connections, making it a very important photo for me.

For Those Considering Joining the photo poster project
The opportunity to talk about your photo with someone is rare, even if it seems like it should be common. I hope you can experience the excitement of seeing your work in A2 poster size. After the exhibition, displaying it in your room might change your perspective on your photos.
By participating in ppp, I believe you'll have wonderful encounters, so please consider joining!
