Creators who love photography share their stories with their cameras. The presence of a 'beloved camera' reflects each person's life and values. In this series, we feature Fujikko, who uses the SONY α7 III.
Family photos are special, connecting to the future as a 'testament of life' beyond just memories. We delve into the joy of capturing vivid memories through the camera and the charm of family photos that bridge memories to the next generation, delivering a story full of love and emotion.
SONY α7 III Basic Information
Equipped with an approximately 24.2-megapixel 35mm full-frame back-illuminated CMOS sensor, it achieves a wide dynamic range and high sensitivity performance. With 693 phase-detection AF points covering about 93% of the image area and 425 contrast AF points, it enables fast and precise autofocus.
The standard ISO sensitivity supports up to 51,200, allowing for low-noise shooting even in low-light environments. Additionally, the body incorporates a 5-axis image stabilization system, effectively reducing blur during handheld shooting. Furthermore, it offers high-speed continuous shooting at up to approximately 10 frames per second with AF/AE tracking, capturing fast-moving subjects with precision.
A Testament of Family Love
Family photos are not just records of memories; they are proof that I lived in this world and loved my family. Moments captured through the camera increase in value as time passes.
In the four years since my son was born, I have continued to press the shutter. His first smile, his first step, and the ordinary days spent with family—all are preserved in the form of photos.
A particularly memorable photo is from a winter day. I captured my son running towards me with a smile as I held the camera by the riverbank. In that moment, I felt the warmth of family breathing even in the cold air.
To the Next Generation
When I show the photos to my son, he always looks very happy. His expression conveys the joy of seeing himself and a sense of accomplishment. Photos may help nurture his growth and self-esteem beyond just being records.
Family photos have the power to vividly preserve memories that cannot be fully conveyed through words alone. Just as my father left photos for me, they serve as a bridge of memories to the next generation. Decades later, when those photos are held, memories that cannot be fully imagined through words alone will revive more vividly in the heart.
I will continue to take family photos. It is to leave a testament of loving and living with my family for the future. Photos are an important bond that connects our lives.
