A Summer Day in Atami: Sea and Hot Springs
First, we recommend Atami. It's about a 2-hour train ride from Tokyo, offering excellent access. Known as a hot spring town, it boasts a beautiful coastline. At Atami Sun Beach, you can capture summer photos with white sand and blue sea as the backdrop. Aim for the soft light of early morning or evening for particularly stunning shots. The 2000-year-old great camphor tree at Kinomiya Shrine is best captured with a wide-angle lens to emphasize its grandeur. Try shooting from the base looking up to highlight its size.

A Healing Trip of History and Nature in the Ancient City
Next, we introduce Kamakura. It's about an hour's train ride from Tokyo, making it very accessible. Kamakura is an ancient city where history and nature harmonize, offering plenty of sights. At Tsurugaoka Hachimangu, capturing summer flowers can express the season. The Great Buddha of Kamakura (Kotoku-in) is ideal for wide-angle shots to capture its full frame or close-ups focusing on its facial expressions. The gardens and Kannon statue at Hase-dera are best photographed using natural light to capture the serene atmosphere.

Seeking Coolness in Nature and Festival Town
Next, we introduce Chichibu, rich in nature. It's about a 2.5-hour train ride from Tokyo, surrounded by mountains and valleys offering beautiful scenery. At Chichibu Muse Park, you can capture scenes of hiking and barbecuing in vast nature. For photographing the grand nature and sacred atmosphere of Mitsumine Shrine, aim for the quiet early morning hours. Try capturing the mystical scenery with fog.

Enjoying Hot Springs and the Sea in Izu
Lastly, we introduce the Izu Peninsula. It's about a 3-hour train ride from Tokyo, known as a resort area for hot springs and the sea. At Atagawa Onsen, capturing the scenery of the hot spring town and foot baths is recommended. Photos capturing the steam rising from the hot springs convey warmth. When photographing Shimoda's beaches or the historic port town, use the blue sea and historic port buildings as a backdrop for impressive shots. At Izu Shaboten Park, try taking photos interacting with various cacti and animals, conveying a fun family atmosphere.
