Introducing the latest versions of the GR series, the 'GR III HDF' and 'GR IIIx HDF', quietly challenging the high-end compact camera boom. This news will tempt even those who already own a GR3 or GR3x to consider purchasing another one.
HDF Filter Adds Depth to Light
The standout feature of these models is the 'HDF Filter'. Replacing the traditional built-in ND filter, it enhances slow shutter photography in bright settings. The 'HDF Filter' allows for soft, dreamy expressions of light and shadow, capturing photos that feel like you're walking through a dream.
Ricoh's Attention to Detail
The subtle yet meaningful changes in appearance include a greyscale silver shutter button, adding a discreet accent to the design. This reflects Ricoh's dedication to their products.
The price for the 'GR III HDF' is 146,600 yen (tax included), and the 'GR IIIx HDF' is 152,600 yen (tax included). Following the announcement, there was such a rush of orders from fans that the official site had to temporarily halt orders. Resale items have also started appearing on Mercari.
