The Smallest and Lightest Pancake Lens in the RF Lens Series
By placing three large-diameter, high-precision plastic-molded aspherical elements in front of the CMOS sensor, the lens construction is kept minimal, resulting in a compact form factor while delivering excellent image quality from the center to the periphery. With a maximum diameter of approximately φ69.2mm, a total length of about 24.7mm (when retracted), and a weight of around 120g, it is the smallest and lightest design in the RF lens series.
A Versatile Focal Length for a Wide Range of Shooting Scenarios
When mounted on a full-frame camera, the 28mm focal length offers a wide angle of view ideal for indoor photography, with a natural sense of perspective that is moderately emphasized—perfect for snapshots and landscape photography across diverse situations. On an APS-C camera, it functions as a standard lens equivalent to 45mm, providing a natural perspective close to human vision and an optimal working distance for subjects, making it suitable for portraits, food photography, tabletop photography, and a variety of other subjects.
