Starting something new often comes with mistakes.
This time, we introduce mistakes that beginners are especially prone to making. You'll find many relatable episodes. Let's prevent these mistakes and capture those precious moments.
1. Preventing Careless Mistakes
Have you ever forgotten to check your battery charge or memory card space before heading out for a shoot? Buying extra memory cards on the go can be costly. In the rush to start shooting, it's easy to overlook other preparations.
Create a checklist and make it a habit to check it before departure. Charging the battery, preparing spare batteries, and checking memory cards are essential tasks.

2. Avoiding Camera Shake
Camera shake occurs when the camera isn't held steadily or when the shutter speed is too slow. It's also common in low-light conditions.
Hold the camera firmly with both hands and keep your elbows close to your body for stability. Increasing the shutter speed can also help prevent camera shake. In dark places, using a tripod is recommended.

3. Ensuring Focus
Relying too much on autofocus can result in the focus not being where you want it. This is also true when using lenses with long focal lengths or when the subject is moving.
Check the photo on the screen immediately after shooting to ensure it's in focus. If necessary, use manual focus to fine-tune the focus.

4. Correcting Exposure
If the exposure settings are not correct, photos can be too dark or too bright. Relying too much on automatic settings can lead to exposure bias.
Use the exposure compensation feature to adjust brightness. Also, review the metering mode and set it to one suitable for the shooting scene. Spot metering or center-weighted metering allows for precise exposure control.

5. Keeping the Lens Clean
If you start shooting without checking the lens, dirt or dust might appear in your photos. This is especially true for outdoor shoots where lenses can easily get dirty.
Always check the lens before shooting and clean it with a cleaning cloth if necessary. Just as a messy room reflects a messy mind, disorganized equipment can affect your photography.

How was that?
Don't be too afraid of making mistakes. By keeping these points in mind, even beginners can enjoy photography with confidence. We support your photography journey.
