Latest Firmware for RICOH GR III/GR IIIx Released, HDF Model Features Added | Ricoh

Ricoh Imaging has announced the latest firmware for the integrated lens cameras 'RICOH GR III' and 'RICOH GR IIIx'. The release date is April 12, 2024. 'RICOH GR III' will be updated to version 1.91, and 'RICOH GR IIIx' to version 1.41.
Improved Usability with White Balance Settings
Both 'RICOH GR III' and 'RICOH GR IIIx' have enhanced white balance and focus functions through the firmware update. New options 'Custom 1', 'Custom 2', and 'Custom 3' have been added to the white balance settings, allowing up to three custom settings to be saved by combining with the base white balance adjustments. Additionally, the focus function now includes 'Zone Select AF', enabling users to move a 3x3 focus area freely.
Special Model Features Integrated into Existing Models
These features are also included in the special edition models 'RICOH GR III HDF/GR IIIx HDF' and will be introduced to the entire 'RICOH GR III' and 'RICOH GR IIIx' lineup through firmware updates. Overall operational stability has been improved. Note that even after a firmware update on the 'RICOH GR IIIx Urban Edition', the original end screen remains unchanged.
