Distance from the Sea

'Distance from the Sea' presented by cizucu is a global online photo contest open to any creator registered with cizucu. The contest aims to curate outstanding works from submissions, discover new talents as a platform, and support the community.

There is an invisible yet profound bond between the sea and life. The daily life by the seaside, the horizon at dusk, and the moments enveloped by the scent of the tide—these are the beautiful and peaceful aspects that color our lives.

The theme this time is 'The Distance Between the Sea and Life'. We are looking forward to receiving photos that express your connection with the sea and the sense of distance in your daily life. Don't overthink it. Just point your lens at the beautiful view of the sea and press the shutter, following your heart. We eagerly await many submissions from you.

Finally, we welcome three official curators: photographers Koki Manju, Kento Hirasue, and Utaumi, who are based in Setouchi. We are excited to create new encounters between participants and curators through this contest.

The view from the seaside window is the same every day, yet different every day. The occasional fishing boat reveals the changes of each day. The moment you want to wave at the distant boat is a small joy in a quiet daily life.

The scent of the sea breeze outside the balcony and the vivid rainbow stretching across the sky. Collecting the small miracles hidden in everyday life, I want to someday add them to a collection of essays. Let's bookmark that small miracle on a page and cherish it.

The moment when the sunset paints the sea surface orange is peaceful and beautiful. While quietly watching the day end, I reflect on the sun of tomorrow, pondering thoughts in my heart.
