Announcing the Highly Anticipated 'X Summit'!
Fujifilm has announced that it will host the new product launch event 'X Summit TOKYO 2024' on February 20 at 14:30 in Tokyo. This year's 'X Summit' is scheduled just before 'CP+', Japan's largest photo-related trade show.
Fujifilm frequently holds the 'X Summit' twice a year to announce new products and technological advancements. The company stated, 'We will showcase new products, services, and ideas in a spectacular show, sharing cutting-edge practices and technology with our partners.' Fujifilm regularly hosts the 'X Summit' in different cities worldwide, with the last event held on September 12 in Stockholm, where the GFX 100 II was announced.
Fujifilm's X Summit Just Before CP+
This year, the event is starting earlier than last May's event, attracting attention as it takes place just days before the start of 'CP+'. 'CP+' has become one of the most important events for Japanese camera manufacturers after the closure of Photokina. 'CP+' is scheduled to be held from February 22 to 25.
After overcoming the COVID-19 pandemic, the event returned to an in-person format last year from an online format. Additionally, with the Summer Olympics in Paris approaching, this year is particularly significant. Some manufacturers have already announced flagship products for global sports events, while many other camera manufacturers are rumored to showcase products with sufficient performance for everyday use.
Fujifilm announced the 'X Summit', which typically features new cameras and lenses, but there was no official announcement in the video this time. However, the new products Fujifilm is expected to announce at the 'X Summit' are likely to play a central role at 'CP+'. Fujifilm plans to exhibit at 'CP+' and is expected to make the content announced on February 20 available for trial at their booth.
