MEET HOT KYOTO
When you hear 'Kyoto', you might think of traditional cultures like tea ceremony and flower arrangement, or temples and shrines like Kiyomizu-dera and Kinkaku-ji. Of course, the Kyoto you know, built through a long history, is charming, but there are still many unknowns lurking in Kyoto, where diverse people and cultures intersect.
This time, NOHGA HOTEL KIYOMIZU KYOTO, located in Kyoto Gojo, is sponsoring a contest with the concept of delivering encounters with the unseen Kyoto.
At NOHGA HOTEL KIYOMIZU KYOTO, under the banner of 'MEET HOT KYOTO', we propose creative and dramatic encounters through music, art, and food that make you want to know more about the city of Kyoto.
The photo contest 'MEET HOT KYOTO' invites photos with the theme 'The Unseen Charms of Kyoto'! Discover and freely express through photos the HOT and unseen charms of Kyoto that you would want to share with everyone, such as nature-rich landscapes, quietly standing shrines in the city, or warmly welcoming shops.
The winning works will be exhibited at NOHGA HOTEL KIYOMIZU KYOTO from January 15, 2024 (Monday) to January 26, 2024 (Friday). Additionally, three winners will receive a hotel accommodation voucher valid until March next year.

The power lines that grid the sky of Kyoto might be a landscape that should be called Japan's original scenery. While undergrounding is progressing in urban areas, in Kyoto, it is surely an indispensable part of the scenery that we do not want to lose.
