"Because nothing lasts forever, each moment is precious." This is one of the fundamental concepts of Buddhism and the uniquely Japanese philosophy of 'wabi-sabi.' The theme for this contest is "Moments that Feel Historical." A rusty doorknob, a moss-covered torii gate, or the well-worn hands of a grandmother. Guided by the traces carved by time, imagine the endless river of history and how a stone tossed into the flow can never return. Cherish the "ephemerality of time" that stands before the present and quietly press the shutter. Even though we often forget in the hustle and bustle of daily life, we can remember if we try.
