Mission

Celebrating its 100th anniversary, the Kyoto Prefectural Botanical Garden has been sharing the beauty and healing power of plants with its visitors for a century. In honor of this historic milestone, we are pleased to announce the second edition of our photo contest. The theme this year is "Memories of the Botanical Garden." Capture the special moments and beautiful landscapes you've experienced at the Kyoto Prefectural Botanical Garden with your camera and submit your entries. We welcome both recent photos taken this year and cherished memories from the past. We invite you to share photos capturing the diverse plants within the botanical garden, the flora and fauna coexisting there, and the seasonal landscapes and events. We look forward to seeing the memories and emotions nurtured by the botanical garden through your photos, connecting these moments to the next 100 years.
