Kingston Technology has announced the portable SSD 'XS1000' series compatible with USB 3.2 Gen 2 connection. Released on August 18, 2023, the prices are 18,980 yen for 2TB and 10,980 yen for 1TB (including tax). As a launch promotion, Amazon.co.jp is offering discount coupons, with 2,500 yen off for 2TB and 1,500 yen off for 1TB. The campaign runs until September 4, 2023.
This ultra-light model weighs only 28.7g and features a size that fits in the palm of your hand. It also supports high-speed access with a maximum read speed of 1,050MB/s and a maximum write speed of 1,000MB/s, making it easy to carry large amounts of data.
The main difference from the 'XS2000' series is the transfer speed. The 'XS2000' supports the higher USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 instead of USB 3.2 Gen 2. Another difference is that it does not come with a sleeve for drop protection.
