For me, Fukuoka’s rivers are one of them. This was taken on a very bright day, and normally I would have left it out. The light was hard, the water was reflective, and the scene did not seem especially easy to use. After editing it with a warmer, softer tone, it started to feel closer to the way I remember this part of the city. The boats, the small floats, the water, the people working by the river, and the city moving into evening all say something about Fukuoka.
