ELECOM Co., Ltd. has announced an external portable SSD compatible with USB 40Gbps (USB4 Version 1). The release is scheduled for mid-November. The sales price is expected to be 36,480 yen (including tax) for the 1,000GB model and 57,800 yen (including tax) for the 2,000GB model.
This new product achieves ultra-fast data transfer with a maximum read speed of 3,650MB/s and a maximum write speed of 3,800MB/s, allowing 100GB of video data to be transferred in just 30 seconds. In addition to improving data transfer efficiency, the cooling system with a temperature detection fan prevents overheating and provides stable operation.
Transfer Large Data Quickly with Outstanding Speed
The new portable SSD can transfer a 12.5-hour full HD video (100GB) in just 30 seconds, one-tenth of the conventional time. This high-speed performance dramatically smooths data management in digital content creation and gaming.
It is also compatible with PlayStation(R)5, allowing game data to be stored on the external SSD, reducing boot times and providing a comfortable gaming experience.
Reliable Data Protection with Cooling Fan and Security Features
The temperature detection fan manages the case temperature, preventing speed reduction even during prolonged use.
Additionally, it comes with a security feature that allows automatic password authentication for specified computers, requiring a password on unregistered computers to prevent data leakage in case of loss. It comes with a one-year warranty for peace of mind.
