FUJIFILM has announced the new mirrorless camera 'FUJIFILM X-M5'. The release is scheduled for late November 2024. The suggested retail price is open, with the expected store price for the body alone being 136,400 yen (including tax).
The 'X-M5' is available in two colors: silver and black. It features a lightweight and compact design, weighing only 355g. In addition to still photography, it is equipped with extensive video capabilities, including support for 6.2K/30P video and a newly added '9:16 Short Video Mode' for easy vertical short video shooting for social media.
Compact and Lightweight Design Perfect for Carrying
The flat-top design without a viewfinder is a major attraction, making it light enough to carry daily. Despite its compact dimensions of approximately 111.9mm in width, 66.6mm in height, and 38.0mm in depth, it maintains the high-quality appearance characteristic of the X series.
With the film simulation dial, you can easily switch between 20 different color expressions. By using the AUTO mode, even beginners can capture high-quality photos with optimal settings for the scene.
Enhanced Video Recording Features
Supports high-resolution video recording up to 6.2K/30P, with options for 4K/60P and 240P slow-motion recording in full HD. It includes electronic image stabilization to provide stable footage even while walking. Additionally, the three built-in microphones allow for audio recording tailored to various situations.
The '9:16 Short Video Mode' for social media significantly reduces the time required for shooting and sharing vertical videos.
High-Performance AF and AI Subject Detection
This model is equipped with subject detection AF that can automatically recognize animals, vehicles, and even drones using AI. It also incorporates face and eye AF, along with the latest AF prediction algorithms, enabling high-precision focus on moving subjects.
It features a 26.1-megapixel 'X-Trans CMOS 4' sensor and the latest 'X-Processor 5', delivering exceptional image quality.
