GoPro, Inc. (NASDAQ: GPRO) announced two new action cameras, 'HERO13 Black' and 'HERO', on September 5, 2024.

The 'HERO13 Black' is a flagship model with top-class performance, while the 'HERO' is the smallest screen-equipped 4K camera in GoPro's history.

The 'HERO13 Black' allows for 5.3K video recording at 60 frames per second and features Emmy Award-winning HyperSmooth stabilization. It also includes numerous new features such as 13x burst slow motion, professional-grade HLG HDR video, and a more efficient Enduro battery.

Additionally, it supports creative shooting with a magnetic latch mount and GPS functionality, and is compatible with the new HB series lens modules.

On the other hand, the 'HERO' is an entry-level action camera from GoPro that supports 4K video recording and is designed to be extremely lightweight and compact at just 86g. It is waterproof up to a depth of 5m and offers intuitive operation with three simple shooting modes (video, slow motion, and photo).

GoPro also announced the new HB series lens modules (ultra-wide lens module, macro lens module, anamorphic lens module, ND filter 4-pack), which can automatically optimize settings when used with the 'HERO13 Black'. Additionally, the model is equipped with Wi-Fi 6 technology, which speeds up content transfer by 40%.
