Panasonic Corporation has announced the integrated lens digital camera 'LUMIX FZ85D'. The release date is scheduled for July 26, 2024. The expected market price is around 64,400 yen.
Announcing the Successor Model to 'LUMIX FZ85'
Panasonic has announced the successor model to the digital camera 'LUMIX FZ85', which supports 60x optical zoom equivalent to 20-1200mm in 35mm format. Released on January 25, 2017, this new model features improvements in EVF and rear monitor performance, a change to USB Type-C connectors, and the inclusion of a zoom-back function.
High-Performance Sensor and Fast AF Function
The 'LUMIX FZ85' is equipped with a 1/2.3-inch high-sensitivity MOS sensor with 18.1 million effective pixels, supporting an ISO sensitivity range of 80 to 6400. It adopts spatial recognition AF, achieving a focusing speed of approximately 0.09 seconds at the wide-angle end and approximately 0.10 seconds at the telephoto end. Additionally, with high-speed, high-precision contrast AF at 240fps, it can quickly focus on moving subjects. Video recording supports 4K/30p.
High Magnification Zoom and Image Stabilization
The lens configuration consists of 12 groups of 14 elements (including 6 aspherical surfaces in 9 elements and 3 ED lenses), with an aperture range of F2.8 to F5.9. Six groups of lenses move during zooming, achieving both high magnification zoom and compactness. It also features an optical image stabilization mechanism. With 'Intelligent Zoom' utilizing super-resolution technology, zooming up to 120x is possible. Additionally, a 'zoom-back function' temporarily reduces magnification during telephoto shooting.
