Introducing the New Lens 'NIKKOR Z 35mm f/1.4' with High Resolution and Soft Rendering | Nikon
Nikon has announced the interchangeable lens 'NIKKOR Z 35mm f/1.4'. The release date is scheduled for July 19, 2024. The estimated price is 104,500 yen (including tax).
Vivid Bokeh Expression in a Portable Form
This is a large-aperture standard prime lens compatible with FX format (35mm full-frame). Despite having the same focal length and size as the S-Line lens 'NIKKOR Z 35mm f/1.8 S', it offers a brighter aperture, allowing for enjoyable bokeh effects. When the aperture is wide open, it provides a soft rendering with a solid core, and as you stop down, it transitions to a sharp depiction.
Outstanding Resolution and Rendering Performance
It pursues resolution on the focal plane and achieves a depiction with minimal color fringing. Compared to the F-mount 'AF-S NIKKOR 35mm f/1.4G', the 'NIKKOR Z 35mm f/1.8 S' is considered suitable for those seeking high rendering performance even in the periphery. It employs an advanced STM (stepping motor) for AF drive, designed with consideration for focus breathing.
High Operability and Professional Durability
For the first time in a non-S-Line lens, a metal filter ring cover is adopted in the barrel, and different knurling patterns are used for the focus ring and control ring to enhance operability while looking through the viewfinder. Sealing is applied in various areas, providing dust and drip resistance, making it a reliable lens for use in harsh environments.
