Sigma Corporation has released the latest firmware for the Sony E-mount 'SIGMA 150-600mm F5-6.3 DG DN OS | Sports' and 'SIGMA 60-600mm F4.5-6.3 DG DN OS | Sports'. The announcement date is April 18, 2024.

AF Functionality Improvements and Compatibility Enhancements

This firmware update addresses common issues in both models. It resolves the problem where autofocus does not function properly when using digital zoom. Additionally, when using the 'α9 III' camera with the focus mode set to 'AF-S', 'DMF', or 'MF', high-speed continuous shooting of up to approximately 120 frames per second is now possible.

Furthermore, the SIGMA '70-200mm F2.8 DG DN OS | Sports' lens (L-mount) has also been updated, reducing lens drive noise during video recording. This results in quieter and smoother shooting.
