Western Digital is set to showcase at NAB 2024 (National Association of Broadcasters) in Las Vegas, USA. The announcement date is April 13, 2024. They will display SanDisk's SD Express cards and the 4TB SDUC card, which were also previewed at CP+2024.
New Developments in SD Express Cards
The SD Express cards to be showcased include both SD and microSD types. These cards boast up to 4.4 times the transfer speed compared to the fastest SD UHS-I cards previously offered by the company, making them ideal for high-performance cameras and data-intensive workflows. Additionally, these cards are compatible with devices supporting SD UHS-I and UHS-II.
Pioneering the Market with the First 4TB High-Capacity SD Card
At NAB 2024, high-capacity SD cards will also be showcased. The 2TB SanDisk Extreme PRO SDXC/microSD cards (UHS-I) and the market's first 4TB SanDisk Extreme PRO SDUC card (UHS-I) will be displayed.
The 4TB SDUC card is compatible with the SDUC (Secure Digital Ultra Capacity) standard, which supports a maximum SD card capacity of 128TB. These are scheduled for release in 2025.
Additionally, the 2TB SDXC card is the first of its capacity in the UHS-I category, and the microSD also boasts the largest capacity in the company's lineup. These are expected to be available for purchase on the official website around summer 2024.
