Sony announces a release stroke customization service for the 'α9 III' mirrorless camera and its vertical grip 'VG-C5'. The service will be available from April 15, 2024, priced at 14,000 yen (including tax).
Custom Service Launch for α9 III and VG-C5
The custom service is compatible with both the mirrorless camera 'α9 III' and its vertical grip 'VG-C5', allowing users to shorten the stroke length when fully pressed from the factory settings. The service takes about two weeks and is available at Sony service stations in Akihabara, Nihonbashi, and Naha. Customers who purchased from the Sony Store can also use this service at any α Plaza nationwide, with pickup available via courier (for a fee).
α9 III: Pioneering Technology for a New Era of Photography
The 'α9 III' is the world's first full-frame mirrorless camera with a global shutter system announced by Sony. It will be released on January 26, 2024, priced at 880,000 yen (including tax).
Sony's new mirrorless camera 'α9 III (ILCE-9M3)' combines a full-frame sensor with the world's first global shutter system, eliminating rolling shutter distortion and providing high-resolution images of approximately 24.6 megapixels.
The maximum shutter speed reaches 1/80,000 seconds, achieving up to 1/16,000 seconds under specific conditions.
It also supports full-speed synchronization with Sony flashes, featuring blackout-free high-speed continuous shooting at approximately 120 frames per second with AE/AF tracking and pre-shooting capabilities. The rear monitor and EVF boast high performance with an improved design for better operability.
