The Pinnacle of Focal Length: From 300mm to 2,400mm
Offers a focal length of 300mm to 1,200mm in 35mm format. The manufacturer's teleconverter can also be used, and when the "M.ZUIKO DIGITAL 2x Teleconverter MC-20" is attached, it achieves a maximum focal length equivalent to 2,400mm in 35mm format.
Utilizing the long focal length, it excels in capturing natural subjects such as wild birds, animals, and insects.
Advanced Optical Design and Special Lens Adoption
The lens is composed of 15 groups and 25 elements, incorporating multiple special glass materials to thoroughly suppress various aberrations. This ensures high optical performance across the zoom range, enabling high-resolution and clear imaging.
Additionally, by using high-performance special lenses such as Super ED lenses and ED lenses, it significantly reduces various aberrations, including chromatic aberration, which is a problem in super telephoto lenses.
