Panasonic Corporation has announced the L-Mount interchangeable lens "LUMIX S 28-200mm F4-7.1 MACRO O.I.S". The release date is April 18, 2024. The price is 132,000 yen (tax included).
This product is an L-Mount lens compatible with 35mm full-frame. It is the first high-power zoom lens in the S series, featuring a compact and lightweight design with a total length of 93.4mm and a weight of approximately 413g. With a maximum shooting magnification of 0.5x, it supports half-macro shooting and is the world's smallest and lightest among AF-compatible full-frame mirrorless interchangeable lenses with a zoom magnification of 7x or more.
Versatile Performance from Wide-Angle to Telephoto
Covering a wide focal range from 28mm wide-angle to 200mm telephoto, this is the first high-power zoom lens in the LUMIX full-frame lens lineup.
It enables a wide range of shooting, from landscape photography utilizing wide angles, portraits with bokeh effects using mid-telephoto and telephoto, to travel snaps utilizing compression effects that compress depth.
Excellent Image Quality and Beautiful Bokeh
This product achieves excellent image quality across the entire zoom range, faithfully reproducing details from the center to the periphery of the subject, while minimizing ring lines, vignetting, and double-line bokeh for smoother and more beautiful bokeh that makes the subject stand out.
By optimally arranging one aspherical lens and four ED lenses, it effectively suppresses various aberrations such as chromatic aberration and spherical aberration. Additionally, by using one ultra-high refractive index UHR lens, it delivers excellent image quality even at the edges of the frame while maintaining a compact size.
