Compact Telephoto Lens '500mm F5.6 DG DN OS | Sports' | SIGMA

Featuring the latest optical design using special low-dispersion glass, it achieves high optical performance and aberration correction despite its compact size. Although a super-telephoto lens at 500mm, it is significantly compact, allowing for handheld shooting.

Equipped with a linear motor HLA for fast and accurate autofocus (AF) and the latest OS2 algorithm providing 5.0 stops of image stabilization, it excels in capturing fast-moving subjects such as sports and wildlife. Additionally, it is designed to resist backlighting, suppressing flare and ghosting, ensuring clear image quality even in scenes with light sources.

Despite being compact and lightweight, it offers high weather resistance and operability, along with SIGMA's renowned high-quality build. The compact and lightweight lens body is achieved through the use of high-precision TSC parts, maintaining performance without compromise. The advanced production technology at the Aizu factory enables the manufacturing of large TSC parts with micron-level precision and beautiful finishes.
With a dust and splash-proof structure and water- and oil-repellent coating, it can be used in harsh environments, and the included slip-on lens hood contributes to lens protection.

Equipped with numerous assist functions to accommodate various shooting styles and purposes. Notably, it includes an AFL button that can be assigned any setting from the camera, an aperture ring, a focus limiter switch, and compatibility with teleconverters for L-mount. The AFL button is placed in three locations, allowing for easy customization by the user.

The aperture ring features a click switch and lock switch, enabling precise aperture operation. The detachable tripod socket is made of magnesium alloy and is Arca-Swiss compatible. Furthermore, when combined with a teleconverter for L-mount, super-telephoto shooting with a focal length of up to 1000mm is possible with AF.
