It can shoot stunning high dynamic range (HDR) video at market-leading 5.3K and 4K resolutions, supports Bluetooth® audio devices like Apple AirPods, and features the advanced HyperSmooth 6.0 video stabilization.
Newly Added HDR Shooting Feature
The basic specifications such as built-in processor, sensor size, and body size are inherited from the 'HERO11 Black', allowing for 10-bit shooting at 5.3K60fps or 4K120fps. Newly supports 5.3K and 4K HDR video and 27MP HDR photos, along with GP-Log+LUT color adjustment. The image stabilization feature has evolved to HyperSmooth 6.0.
Battery Efficiency Doubled
With revamped battery management improving power efficiency, it allows for up to twice the continuous shooting compared to previous models. When shooting at 5.3K/60fps using HyperSmooth 6.0, the time has improved from 35 minutes to 70 minutes, and at 4K/120fps from 28 minutes to 58 minutes.
Additionally, it supports Bluetooth audio connection directly from the body, supporting monitoring and microphone recording. Up to four devices can be connected simultaneously.
The external option 'Max Lens Mod 2.0', which achieves a wide field of view, is also new, realizing 177 degrees at 40K60fps. Note that Max Lens Mod 2.0 is exclusive to HERO12 and cannot be used with HERO11 or earlier.
External dimensions are 71.8×50.8×33.6mm. Weight is 154g.
