Tamron Co., Ltd. has announced the release of the large aperture telephoto zoom lens '35-150mm F/2-2.8 Di III VXD' for full-frame mirrorless cameras compatible with Nikon Z mount. The development announcement was made on July 25, 2023. The release is set for September 21, 2023, priced at 258,500 yen (tax included).

As a zoom lens for full-frame mirrorless cameras compatible with Nikon Z mount, it is the first to achieve an open F value of F2 at the wide-angle end, ranging from a semi-wide-angle 35mm to a telephoto 150mm portrait zoom lens. It covers a wide range of focal lengths optimal for portrait photography, from capturing full-body shots with surrounding scenery at 35mm to focusing on expressions and gaze at 150mm, centering on the medium telephoto 85mm, all without the need to change lenses.

With the adoption of the linear motor focus mechanism VXD (Voice-coil eXtreme-torque Drive), it achieves high-speed and high-precision AF despite its large aperture. It realizes a significant increase in aperture size, high image quality, and comfortable AF operation.
