Compact and Lightweight Yet Delivers Professional-Quality Stills and Video
Equipped with an APS-C size CMOS sensor with approximately 24.1 megapixels and the DIGIC 8 image processor, the EOS R100 achieves high-resolution stills and video in combination with high-performance RF lenses. The camera enables expressive imaging unique to APS-C mirrorless systems, such as natural bokeh and high-sensitivity shooting in low-light environments—capabilities that are difficult to achieve with smartphones.
Fast and Accurate Autofocus for Comfortable Portrait Photography
With Dual Pixel CMOS AF, the EOS R100 offers fast and precise autofocus across up to 143 AF zones. The camera features Eye Detection AF, which accurately tracks the eyes of subjects even at a distance, and supports eye detection during Servo AF and Movie Servo AF, enabling continuous shooting at up to approximately 6.5 frames per second with One-Shot AF and up to approximately 3.5 frames per second with Servo AF.
Video Capabilities for a Variety of Shooting Scenarios
The EOS R100 supports high-definition 4K/24p video recording and high frame rate HD/120p video for smooth slow-motion playback of fleeting moments. Vertical video metadata can be added, allowing vertically shot videos to be played back in the correct orientation on smartphones and other devices. The inclusion of digital IS for video effectively reduces camera shake, making the camera suitable for a wide range of shooting scenarios, including handheld and on-the-go filming.
