On April 25, 2023, DJI announced the flagship drone 'Mavic 3 Pro' equipped with a triple-camera system featuring Hasselblad, medium telephoto, and telephoto cameras. This model includes features such as omnidirectional obstacle detection and HD video transmission up to 15 km (8 km in Japan). Sales begin on May 9, 2023, with prices starting from 261,800 yen (tax included).

Pioneering a New Era in Aerial Photography

With the inclusion of a triple-lens system, creators can easily switch shooting configurations with a single tap, capturing various compositions more efficiently than ever before.

“We expect users to capture stunning works that inspire all viewers with new spatial and distance perspectives,” said DJI Creative Director Ferdin and Wolf.

Three Types of Lenses in One Drone

Equipped with a triple-camera system with focal lengths of 24mm, 70mm, and 166mm, it accommodates a wide range of scenarios. Users can verify the desired location with the wide-angle camera, focus on specific locations with the medium telephoto camera, and capture specific scenes or people by combining each camera.

High-Performance Hasselblad Camera (Wide 24mm)

Like other Mavic 3 series models, it features a 4/3 CMOS Hasselblad camera. It supports a native dynamic range of up to 12.8 stops and can shoot 12-bit RAW images. With the Hasselblad Natural Colour Solution (HNCS), it accurately reproduces colors perceived by the human eye, eliminating the need for cumbersome post-editing or complex color presets. It offers professional video specs with up to 5.1K/50fps and DCI 4K/120fps.

Medium Telephoto Camera (70mm)

Featuring a 1/1.3-inch CMOS sensor, it offers 3x optical zoom, 48MP/12MP images, and 4K/60fps video recording, with new support for D-Log M. The compression effect results in a shallower depth of field, highlighting subjects to create unique depth in videos.

Telephoto Camera (166mm)

Compared to the Mavic 3's telephoto camera, it has improved resolution, aperture (from F4.4 to F3.4), and video frame rate performance. Capable of 4K/60fps video recording with 7x optical zoom and 12MP image capture, it features up to 28x hybrid zoom.

Ample Battery and Enhanced Safety with Omnidirectional Obstacle Detection

With ample battery capacity, it offers a maximum flight time of 43 minutes, allowing users to carefully plan their shooting compositions. Additionally, it features omnidirectional obstacle detection and APAS 5.0, with eight wide-angle vision sensors seamlessly working with a high-performance visual information computing engine to accurately detect obstacles and plan safe flight routes.

With the DJI O3+ transmission system, users can maintain a stable and clear camera view, transmitting 1080p/60fps HD live video from up to 15 km away (8 km in Japan). It also includes automatic flight features such as waypoint flight, cruise control, and advanced RTH.

Intelligent Features

The Mavic 3 Pro supports a full range of intelligent features found in DJI drones.

FocusTrack

The Hasselblad and medium telephoto cameras of the Mavic 3 Pro support FocusTrack, which consists of three modes: ActiveTrack 5.0, Spotlight, and POI (Point of Interest). It performs stable tracking shots while flying in various directions.

MasterShots

With a simple touch operation, users can easily start, automatically shoot, edit, and add music, generating cinematic videos automatically.

QuickShots

Utilize QuickShot features such as Dronie, Rocket, Circle, and Helix to capture shots with various camera movements.
