Creators who love photography share stories about their cameras and experiences. The presence of a 'beloved camera' reflects each person's life perspective and values. In this series, Hao | Kodai Yamashita, a devoted user of the GFX 50S, makes an appearance.

Anyone who loves photography has likely heard of 'FUJIFILM's colors'. The secret lies in the 'film simulation' feature, which allows you to enjoy various expressions as if changing film. Features like Classic Negative, Velvia, and Acros create 'memory colors' that transform ordinary moments into special memories.

GFX 50S Basic Information

This is a medium format mirrorless digital camera equipped with a large CMOS sensor 'G Format' of approximately 51.4 million effective pixels, measuring 43.8mm x 32.9mm. This large sensor achieves overwhelming resolution and rich gradation expression.

By combining the image processing engine 'X-Processor Pro' with FUJIFILM's unique color reproduction technology developed over 80 years, natural and beautiful color expression is possible. It also adopts a specially designed 'G Mount', and when combined with Fujinon GF lenses, it maximizes sensor performance to achieve high-definition depiction. The body is lightweight yet robust, featuring a detachable electronic viewfinder and a tilt-type touch panel LCD monitor for intuitive operability.

Color

Most of the cameras I use now and have used in the past are FUJIFILM cameras.

While they are easy to use with analog operations and have a cool design, the main reason is definitely the 'color'.

From Mere Photos to Memories

When it comes to FUJIFILM's colors, 'film simulation' comes to mind. It's such a distinctive feature and color that some people use FUJIFILM cameras just for this.

The ability to enjoy various colors and looks as if changing film enhances everyday life beautifully when used according to the situation.

Whether traveling far, taking a walk nearby, or staying at home, the colors of film simulation turn mere photos into memories.

Medium Format Sensor

What made it even more special was the medium format sensor. I've used more than three FUJIFILM cameras and have been moved three times.

The first time was when I first held a FUJIFILM camera, and I will never forget the overwhelming impression it left. Things I saw every day felt entirely new.

The second time was when I first used 'Classic Negative', which completely resonated with me. It's still my favorite film simulation, and I basically always use it.

And the third time was when I first shot with a medium format sensor.
I always thought I was compatible with FUJIFILM cameras, but the moment I held the GFX 50S and shot with the medium format sensor, it blew away all my preconceptions.

Memory Colors

FUJIFILM cameras can preserve memories.
It's not just beautiful colors; I think of them as memory colors. Medium format adds to this, making the air appear more vivid than seen with the naked eye.

And I want to cherish this camera, which can make ordinary memories and recollections more special and preserve them as a single photograph, just like the memories themselves.
