RICOH Imaging Company has announced the entry model 'PENTAX WG-1000' of the waterproof compact digital camera 'WG' series. The expected release date is June 21, 2024. The price is 48,400 yen (including tax). Available in two colors: gray and olive.
Rugged Design for Outdoor Use
The new model features waterproof capabilities up to a depth of 15m (IPX8), shock resistance from a height of 2m, and dustproof performance (IP6X). It comes with a carabiner strap and a protective jacket to prevent scratches, designed for outdoor use. It also has chemical resistance to withstand disinfection with ethanol, sodium hypochlorite, and chlorine dioxide water.

High-Quality Sensor and Multifunctional Lens
Equipped with a 1/2.3-inch CMOS sensor with approximately 16.35 million effective pixels, it supports sensitivity from ISO 100 to 3200. It also supports full HD video recording (H.264) and features an optical 4x zoom lens equivalent to approximately 27-108mm in 35mm format with an aperture of F3.0-6.6. High magnification zoom shooting up to approximately 24x is also possible. It includes a CALS mode compatible with the electronic delivery standard 'Construction CALS' for architectural photography.

The back features a 2.7-inch LCD monitor with approximately 230,000 dots, and it supports SDXC/SDHC/SD cards. The built-in memory is approximately 29MB.
