Amidst the daily advancements in camera technology, Canon's latest product stands out. The stereo fisheye lens 'RF-S3.9mm F3.5 STM DUAL FISHEYE' for APS-C sensors enables high-quality 180° VR footage.
Compact VR Lens
The 'RF-S3.9mm F3.5 STM DUAL FISHEYE' is a compact system designed exclusively for the 'EOS R7,' featuring a unique design that combines two fisheye lenses into one. With a 144-degree horizontal field of view and a 4K resolution APS-C sensor, it delivers natural stereoscopic images as if seen through the human eye.

Apple-Certified Spatial Video Lens
This lens was announced at WWDC 2024 as a video lens. It further enhances the video technology used in the 'iPhone 15 Pro,' delivering a more realistic visual experience when used with Vision Pro and other XR headsets. With a square aspect ratio and approximately 60-degree field of view, it supports AR glasses, allowing for immersive spatial experiences across a wide range of devices.

Fisheye Lens Creating Depth
The light entering through the two lenses is directed to the RF mount sensor via a prism. By utilizing parallax, it creates a realistic sense of depth close to human vision, achieving more three-dimensional VR footage.
Amazing Sample Footage
When viewed through the Meta Quest 3 XR headset, the sample footage released by Canon Marketing Japan offers a solid sense of depth.

What do you think?
