Sony has released the latest firmware for the portable data transmitter 'PDT-FP1'. The release date is June 27, 2024. The build number is 67.0.G.0.336.
New Ethernet Tethering Features

Portable Data Transmitter Connecting to 5G Networks
Connect Sony cameras to 5G networks to enable the transfer of still images and videos to FTP servers or cloud storage, and live streaming. Compared to smartphones, it offers more flexibility in antenna design and cooling structure, allowing for stable communication and performance maintenance under high load. The antenna is placed in the yellow section, equipped with a cooling fan, heat sink, and duct structure. It caters to various use cases, such as news photographers who need to deliver photos as quickly as possible, broadcast/media professionals who want simplified setups, wedding photographers requiring urgent delivery, and YouTube streamers aiming to overcome location constraints.
