Canon is set to release the digital cinema camera 'EOS C400' featuring an RF mount. The expected release date is September 2024. Price is undisclosed.
'EOS C400' Opens New Horizons in Filmmaking
The 'EOS C400' is equipped with the same 35mm full-frame image sensor as the 'EOS C500 Mark II', allowing RAW recording at 6K 60P and 4K 120P. It boasts a base sensitivity with three options: ISO 800/3200/12800, offering excellent low-light performance. The dynamic range reaches up to 16 stops, and it also features Dual Pixel CMOS AF II.

The memory card slot supports dual slots for CFexpress cards and SD memory cards. The LCD monitor, grip, and handle have been redesigned for improved operability. Additionally, it complies with Canon's new common MP4 format 'XF-HEVC S/XF-AVC S', allowing for extensive metadata settings.
It also features Wi-Fi capability and supports the iOS app 'Canon Multi Camera Control', making remote operation easy.
