Latest Firmware Update for Nikon D850 and D7500 Enhances Communication Settings

Nikon has released the latest firmware for the digital SLR cameras D850 and D7500. Announced on April 25, 2024, the version numbers are Ver.1.31 for the D850 and Ver.1.12 for the D7500.

The default password setting displayed in the communication function after initializing the camera has been changed.

Additionally, for the D7500, the operation when outputting video to an external recorder via HDMI during live view of video has been improved. Specifically, the issue where the left (L) and right (R) audio indicators displayed on the camera monitor and external recorder were reversed has been corrected.

Nikon D850

The Nikon D850 is a high-resolution 35mm full-frame digital SLR camera with an effective 45.75 million pixels. Released in September 2017 as the successor to the D810, it offers high-speed continuous shooting at 7 frames per second. Its versatility allows it to handle a wide range of subjects from landscapes to moving subjects, featuring a tilting monitor.

Nikon D7500

The Nikon D7500 is a DX-format (APS-C size) digital SLR camera. Released in 2017, it inherits technology from the flagship model D500, enhancing dynamic range and achieving the highest image quality for a DX model. It features a lightweight monocoque structure and a tilting 3.2-inch touch-operable monitor, greatly improving usability. It is a mid-level SLR camera with advanced features, capable of handling a wide range of shooting scenes from landscapes to moving subjects.
