Fujifilm Corporation has released the latest firmware for the mirrorless camera "GFX100 II". The version number is 2.0.0. The announcement date is March 14, 2024.

The main update is the addition of the "equipment" management feature to the "FUJIFILM XApp".

Easily Check Lifetime Shutter Count and Battery Degradation

With this update, it is now possible to display information such as "lifetime shutter count", "mechanical shutter count", and "battery degradation". Additionally, you can check the number of days since the last sensor cleaning.

Moreover, a "firmware update" item has been added to the setup menu. This allows you to update the firmware by inserting a memory card containing the new firmware into the camera and selecting "basic settings" from the "setup menu".

The conventional update methods (starting the camera while pressing the DISP/BACK button or updating via application) are still available.

Other minor bug fixes have also been implemented.

New Flagship Model with 102MP: FUJIFILM GFX100 II

The "FUJIFILM GFX100 II" is positioned as the top model in the GFX series of large-format mirrorless cameras. This new model features a completely new image sensor, replacing the previous model's sensor with the newly developed "GFX 102MP CMOS II HS". Additionally, the image processing engine has been updated to "X-Processor 5", reaching a pixel count of 102 million. The autofocus performance has also been improved, making it a flagship model that combines high resolution and fast processing. It was released in September 2023, priced at 1,270,000 yen (including tax).
