With the latest optical design, this lens combines the unique distortion effect of fisheye lenses with high resolution, offering unparalleled expressive power. It achieves high resolution and point image reproduction across the entire frame from wide open, using a luxurious lens configuration that includes special low-dispersion glass and aspherical lenses.

With a 180° angle of view, it allows for unique perspectives and subject emphasis, and has high backlight resistance against flare and ghosting. The performance of this lens is guaranteed by SIGMA's proprietary MTF measurement device, designed to meet the strict standards of the Art line.

This product is equipped with a wealth of features specialized for astrophotography and is a new addition to SIGMA's F1.4 wide-angle prime Art lens series. This expands the lineup of dedicated astrophotography lenses to four, including 14mm, 20mm, and 24mm.

Main features include a Manual Focus Lock (MFL) switch to prevent focus misoperation, a lens heater retainer for easy use of lens heaters, a rear filter holder for sheet-type rear filters, a dedicated front cap with a lock mechanism and filter slot, and an Arca-Swiss type detachable tripod socket, designed to meet various needs for astrophotography.

This product is equipped with an AFL button and aperture ring, both of which can be assigned any function depending on the camera, as well as a lock switch and a click on/off switch. It uses a linear motor HLA as the AF actuator for fast, quiet, and precise autofocus shooting, and features a dust- and splash-proof structure and a water- and oil-repellent coating to ensure weather resistance and robustness in harsh environments.

Additionally, it uses metal parts and lightweight engineering plastic TSC in appropriate places to achieve high build quality with durability, operability, and high ownership satisfaction.
