A Lens Like a Bazooka: SIGMA 100-400mm F5-6.3 DG DN OS Now Available for Fujifilm X-Mount | Sigma
Sigma Corporation is set to release a Fujifilm X-mount version of its mirrorless camera interchangeable lens, the 'SIGMA 100-400mm F5-6.3 DG DN OS | Contemporary', on September 21. The price is open, with an expected retail price of 118,800 yen (including tax).
This super-telephoto zoom lens is equivalent to 150-600mm in 35mm format. When using the DG DN lens, which covers full-frame format, on APS-C format Fujifilm X series cameras, it provides excellent image quality even at the periphery.
Featuring autofocus driven by a stepping motor, the lens includes a dedicated AF drive and optimized communication speed control algorithms for adaptation to the Fujifilm X-mount. It supports fast AF, AF-C, and in-body aberration correction, and the lens barrel is equipped with an 'AF Function Setting Switch' that allows selection between AF lock and AF operation.
The image stabilization effect is up to approximately 5 stops. It features two switchable modes: Mode 1 for regular use and Mode 2 optimized for panning shots. The 'Dual Action Zoom' supports both rotary and straight zooming operations.
Additionally, an Arca-Swiss compatible tripod socket 'TRIPOD SOCKET TS-111' (priced at 13,750 yen including tax) is available as an optional accessory.
