Nikon Imaging Japan Inc. has announced the full-frame/FX format mirrorless camera 'Nikon Z 8', which adopts the 'Nikon Z mount'. It will be available for sale from May 26, 2023. The price is open.
The 'Nikon Z 8' offers the same features and performance as the 'Nikon Z 9' in the Nikon Z series, while achieving a 30% reduction in size. It provides excellent mobility, capture performance, and image quality for both stills and videos, allowing for nimble shooting in various scenes and is designed for a wide range of photographers and video creators.
The NIKKOR Z lenses compatible with the Z mount include prime and zoom lenses covering a wide focal range from 14mm to 1600mm, achieving excellent sharpness and clear image quality even with the aperture wide open. They are highly silent and minimize focus breathing, making them suitable for video shooting.
High Mobility for Various Shooting Situations
With a compact body that is approximately 30% smaller in volume compared to the 'Nikon Z 9', it condenses excellent performance and functions, achieving high mobility. It enables stable shooting in various scenes, whether for stills or videos.
New Standard for Mirrorless Cameras: Mechanical Shutterless Design
Equipped with a stacked CMOS sensor that minimizes rolling shutter distortion, similar to the 'Nikon Z 9'. Without a mechanical shutter, it allows for silent shooting and worry-free high-volume shooting without shutter wear.
HEIF Format for Rich Gradation and Smooth Gradients
Shooting in HEIF (High Efficiency Image File Format) allows for images with rich gradation, such as sunsets, and city nightscapes with a wide dynamic range that suppresses blown highlights and crushed blacks.
Ideal for Long-Duration Shooting in Events and Documentaries
Capable of long-duration shooting of 4K UHD 60p and 8K UHD 30p videos. With a more compact and lightweight body than the 'Nikon Z 9', it is suitable for all-day event shooting or extended documentary filming.
