Leica Summilux-M f1.4/50mm ASPH. with Shortened Minimum Focusing Distance to 45cm | Leica Camera
Leica Camera has announced the renewal of the Leica M-mount standard lens, 'Leica Summilux-M f1.4/50mm ASPH.' It will be available from April 22, 2023, at the Leica online store, Leica boutiques, and authorized Leica dealers. The price is 671,000 yen for black and 693,000 yen for silver (including tax).
More Flexibility
The 'Leica Summilux-M f1.4/50mm ASPH.' is a 50mm standard lens for the Leica M series. While maintaining its high imaging performance and lightweight, compact body, it has been updated with the latest technology.
By incorporating the newly developed 'Double Cam Cut,' the minimum focusing distance has been shortened from 70cm to 45cm, allowing for closer shooting during live view photography.
The lens configuration remains the same as the 2004 model 'Leica Summilux-M f1.4/50mm ASPH.' with 5 groups and 8 elements, including one aspherical surface. However, the focus ring's rotation angle is larger than the previous model, enabling more precise focusing, especially at close distances.
Smoother Operation
By increasing the number of aperture blades from 9 to 11, the shape of the aperture becomes more circular, even at settings other than wide open, allowing for beautiful circular bokeh. The lens hood adopts a retractable design that can be smoothly extended and retracted with a light twist.
